This appellation is rapidly emerging as one of the best sites in Niagara for red wines, superimposing pure fruit flavours onto a sinewy, elegant structure.

The 2005 Reserve is a blend of wines from two premium vineyards from the St. David’s Bench, typifying the ripe, robust refinement that marks the appellation as one to watch.

    90 Pts. — 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

    Tony Aspler, Tidings, July/August 2009.

A Bordeaux-style claret: deep ruby in colour with classic cedar, vanilla and blackcurrant notes; well-extracted fruit; medium-bodied, firmly structured with blackcurrant and floral flavours; lovely mouth-feel; firmly structured with ripe tannins; great length.

    4.5 Stars – 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Christopher Waters, Vines Magazine, May 2009.

The winner in the limited edition red category at Cuvee 2009, Creekside’s newly released Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is made in the winery’s big, bold, oak-influenced style that is mightily impressive. The winemaking team used the word sinewy to describe this robust, complex red wine, which is as good a way as any to illustrate its fine grained structure and elegant restraint.
