Agreeable, accessible, and yet inexplicably mysterious, our 2007 Cabernet is very much the “wine-next-door”.  Able to thrill or comfort depending on the situation at hand, its chamleon adaptability ensures universal appeal.  Daring and rebellious, its bad boy side is sure to attract your attention and set it apart from the rest of the conformist Cabernet crowd.  But this smooth-talker also knows when to suit up and impress for more formal occasions, making it the perfect wine to take home to mom.  Yes, finally, you can have the best of both worlds: it’s dangerously good.

    “Quite classy” — 2007 Cabernet

David Lawrason, Wine Access Online Report, August 2009
This is quite classy for the money, showing Creekside’s ability with red wines. It’s a mid-weight, fairly supple cabernet with New World softness, juiciness and some Bordeaux-like complexity. Look for fairly complex cedar, pepper, dried herbs and ripe raspberry-currant fruit. Mid-weight, a bit loose and dry on the finish. Very good length. Best 2010 to 2013.

    4.0 Stars — 2007 Cabernet

Creekside’s ability to craft serious, ageworthy red wines has long been established.  Its award-winning portfolio of top-of-the-line Reserve reds is not to be missed.  But there’s also something to be said for the easy appeal of its varietal wines, like this flashy and fruity Cabernet thaat’s drinking beautifully right now.  Best Buy.

    88 Pts — 2007 Cabernet

Natalie Maclean, Nat Decants, March 2009

Great price for the classically built Cabernet. Alluring notes of black raspberry, black currant, mocha and cigar box. Full-bodied but supple with a lovely finish.
