First Fruit of 2009 Harvest

As announced on Twitter, the winner of the “first grape variety to be picked at Creekside in 2009″ goes to:  Pinot Gris.   Two separate blocks of Gris were harvested on October the 1st. We had a poll running for a couple of weeks to see if any intrepid guessers could nail down the right answer, [...]

Vineyard Profile: Creekside Estate Vineyard

Immediately bordering the winery buildings on Fourth Avenue and providing a very dramatic (and very tasty) view as you come down the driveway, is the Creekside Estate Vineyard. We like to think of it as the quietly consistent, patient older sibling to our Queenston Road Vineyard on the St. David’s Bench. We expect the fruit to be good — it always has been– so we very rarely worry, fuss, or fret.

The 2008 BG Riesling marks the return of [...]

With the coming of spring also arrives the time to start looking into the depths of the cellar for our blockbuster reserve red tastings.  With the 05 Reserves out on the shelves and hauling in the hardware, the pressure is on to produce even better Bordeaux blends from the follow-up 2006 vintage. More elegant and [...]
