The Pinot Noir fruit was harvested on the second of four pick dates from our Queenston Road Vineyard blocks, timed in between traditional sparkling and red table wine. 100% from the close 115 block of the vineyard. Fruit was crushed and left to macerate for one hour before pressing. The Pinot Gris fruit cold fermented in stainless steel to preserve fruit. The wines were then blended.
2020 was a tough year for many but the positive side is that it was a remarkable vintage for winemaking in Ontario. It was a hot, dry growing season that produced surprisingly clean, balanced, and beautiful fruit. All varieties maintained a nice level of acidity with concentration of flavours and great structure. Fresh and vibrant whites and rosés and reds built to last.
The Pinot Noir is from our Queenston Road Vineyard in St. David’s Bench sub appellation and the Pinot Grigio is from Fruithaven Farms, owned by Grape King John Fedorkow, located on Line 8 in St. Davids.
Lovely and dry, yet still light, fresh and fruity with
flavours of red berry and pink grapefruit. Great
with barbecue, charcuterie and summer salads.

Pretty much anything goes with pink. But always remember that it is fun to drink by itself as well! Winemaker’s choice: charcuterie with plenty of fresh melon.
