We are committed to Sauvignon Blanc at Creekside - have been since the very beginning in 1997.
Backyard Sauvignon Blanc gets most of our attention because Rob's "office" overlooks the vineyard. He is constantly working in the vineyard, waiting for exactly the right pick date.
The resulting wine is true to our cool climate roots with vibrant freshness and crisp acidity, big, bold fruit and delicately balanced.

Clean and bright
- Nose
Freshness and a sense of place (ie. literally our backyard). Vibrant aromas of ruby red grapefruit, guava and juicy lime are complemented by some celery heart and capsicum.
- Mouth
The palate is zippy and fresh with a citrus focus. More grapefruit, key lime and orange zest all wound up in some nervy acidity. Freshness and intensity is the vibe of this wine.

- Growing Conditions
2020 was a tough year for many but the positive side is that it was a remarkable vintage for winemaking in Ontario. It was a hot, dry growing season that produced surprisingly clean, balanced, and beautiful fruit. All varieties maintained a nice level of acidity with concentration of flavours and great structure. Fresh and vibrant whites and rosés and reds built to last.
- Food Pairing
Salad of greens dressed with melted goat cheese rounds is classic. Scallop ceviche or any other ceviche if you can’t find good scallops. Freshness is the keyword, use your imagination.
