100% Cabernet Franc from the Smith Vineyard. 2022 was a great growing season. Quantity in the vineyard was down but the quality shows with incredible concentration, ripeness and overall balance. The Smith vineyard has been consistently producing outstanding red grapes year after year. We felt this wine was special and deserved a spot in our Reserve program.
A wild and brambly nose with red and dark berries, forest floor with savoury and earthy elements that we adore from Cabernet Franc. The palate shows dark berries like blackberry and hint of black currant, roasted peppers and sage, and a very pleasant earthy finish. It’s bold but refined. Classic Cabernet Franc character.
