Cue the confetti cannons. Our 2024 Backyard Block Sauvignon Blanc just dropped and it’s already flexing its bling—Gold at the 2025 National Wine Awards of Canada and Gold at the 2025 All Canadian Wine Awards. Not bad for a wine that was still hanging out on the vine last September.
This vintage is all punchy passionfruit, grapefruit, and pineapple, with a sassy streak of jalapeño and fennel that keeps things lively. It’s zippy, bold, and unapologetically fresh—the kind of wine that doesn’t just show up to the party, it is the party.

The 2024 vintage started off with early bud break, with the season continuing to be nice and warm. The wines from this vintage show great intensity and concentration with a certain elegance and complexity. Picked in early September based on flavour to achieve the punchy grapefruit character we love with a bit of herbaceous freshness. The ideal spring and summer wine! Or drink in the deep depths of winter to be reminded of sunnier days.
Fresh greens with warm goat cheese is a classic. Try it with scallop ceviche, oysters, fish en papillote, fennel-grapefruit salad, spaghetti al limone, grilled asparagus, snap peas, or crudites. Keep it fresh. Perfect for pool parties, pario lunches, or reading something a little spicy in the sun.
